After months of hard work, we finally completed all renovations and moved in. It feels so good to have the work behind us. We know there will be little projects and updates here and there – but the BIG stuff is complete and this little trailer is feeling like home.
Of course it was snowy and icy during our move-in day, and then when we needed to drive away, parts of the RV were frozen to the ground! It made for a scary first few hours on the road as we watched the trailer sliding side to side on the slick ground behind us a few times.
We quickly made it to warmer weather and stayed with friends in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was so fun to catch up with friends we hadn’t seen since the year we got married. We had lots of catching up to do! We also explored the historic city of Charlotte before making our way down to Florida.
As with every big move and change we’ve made in our lives, it’s scary. And my anxiety goes way up. However, knowing that we’ve made it through those other big changes helps me know we’ll make it through this one too. Every new adventure has an adjustment period, and we’ll soon find our groove with this new chapter of our lives.
