The last time we showed you our apartment here in Italy, it was cozy and homey. After weeks of selling off furniture, we’re starting to camp more than live in our space. Mattresses are on the floors, closets and shelves are gone, and we’re eating off of kids plates. We still have a few things to sell and quite a bit to unload or give away – which is more difficult when you can’t load up a car and take the whole lot to Goodwill. Basically we’re living like gypsies, as Nick likes to say.
Somehow it’s less stressful this time around. Probably because it’s the second time around. We’ve done this before, and we’ve got this gig down. We’re heading back with less than we came with which is always the fun part for me (is it weird that I love downsizing so much?).
