We jumped right in on the RV renovations.

At first we thought we’d just start by painting the walls and cabinets. Soon we realized in order to best paint the walls, we really should take out the dinette and couch, so why not also go ahead and also tackle the floors before our first trip?

We need to make a trek down to Florida to register our truck and RV there and switch over our driver’s licenses. Florida will be our domicile state while we travel and we need to make sure all our paperwork is in order. So the deadline to finish our projects might get a little tight since we took on more than originally planned.

While sanding the walls for prep, we found a few water damage spots. One was in the corner of the slide, which looks like it’s been repaired before – but not properly. That set us back a bit in our timeline, however, we’re glad the area is stronger than it was before. We plan to tackle the water damage in the corner of our bedroom next week along with the priming and painting.

Hopefully all will go well and we can take our new home for a test drive to Florida before our big adventure starting in February.
